Phase 1: Generating the TRN

Step 1: Visit the GST Portal

Go to the official GST portal (gst.gov.in) and navigate to Services > Registration > New Registration.

Step 2: Fill Part-A of the Form

Fill in your basic details like your legal name of the business (as per PAN), PAN, email address, and mobile number. After OTP verification of your mobile and email, you will receive a Temporary Reference Number (TRN).

Phase 2: Completing the Application

Step 3: Log in with TRN

Go back to the GST portal and log in using your TRN. You will again receive an OTP on your registered mobile/email.

Step 4: Fill Part-B of the Form

This is the main application form where you need to provide detailed information about your business, promoters/partners, authorized signatory, principal place of business, and the goods and services you deal in.

Step 5: Upload Documents and Submit

You will need to upload scanned copies of required documents, such as PAN card, proof of business constitution (e.g., Partnership Deed, Certificate of Incorporation), identity and address proof of promoters, and proof of place of business. After uploading, submit the application using a DSC (Digital Signature Certificate) or EVC (Electronic Verification Code).
